Based on the suggestions of the working group, the Ministry implemented the new water research funding programme of the Land of Baden-Württemberg. As a central component, three interdisciplinary joint projects, so called 'Forschernetzwerke' (researcher networks), are funded.

In addition, workshops and conferences are organized within the network to develop future-oriented research questions to open up longer-term perspectives.
